چکیده

Objective:This study investigated the cervicalmicroleakage between titanium and three porcelain systems. Material andMethods:The titanium used in this study (commercially pure, grade 2, IMNR Bucharest, Romania) was veneered with three porcelain systems specially designed for fusing on titanium: Ti22 (Noritake, Nishikamogun, Aichi, Japan), Triceram (Esprident, Ispringen, Germany) andVitatitankeramik (Vita, BadSäckingen, Germany). Results:The leastmicroleakage at the interfacewas produced by Ti22 porcelain (0 ± 0.0), followedby Triceram (0.25 ± 0.5) and Vitatitankeramik (0.75 ± 0.957). Nevertheless, the differences between porcelain systemswere not statistically significant (p>0.05). Conclusions:Within the limitations of this in vitro study, therewas no significantmicroleakage between titaniumcoping and the porcelain veneer, regardless of the porcelain

This study investigated the colorimetric properties of different veneering materials on core materials. Standardized specimens (10 mm × 10 mm × 1.5 mm) reflecting four core (polyetheretherketone (PEEK), zirconia (ZrO₂), cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy (CoCrMo), and titanium oxide (TiO₂); thickness: 1.5 mm) and veneering materials (VITA Mark II, IPS e.max CAD, LAVA Ultimate and VITA Enamic, all...

Comparative Evaluation of Microleakage at the Interface of Titanium and Zirconium Abutments Following Oblique Cyclic Loading: An in vitro Study

Abstract Background and aim: Oral microbiota could proliferate the microspace between the implant and abutment, thereby cause inflammation in the peri-implant tissues and adjacent bone. This study aimed to investigate the effect of two types of abutments (zirconia and titanium) on microleakage at implant-abutment interface area under oblique cyclic loading in vitro. Materials and methods:In thi...

Evaluation of the Effect of Zirconia and Titanium Abutments on Microleakage of Implant-Abutment Interface Under Oblique Cyclic Loading In Vitro

Background and Aim: Oral bacteria can proliferate in the implant-abutment interface (IAI) and cause inflammation in the peri-implant tissues and adjacent bone. This study aimed to assess the effect of zirconia and titanium abutments on the microleakage of the IAI under oblique cyclic loading conditions. Materials and Methods: In this in-vitro study, 12 implant-abutment assemblies with zirconia...

Acid etching of titanium for bonding with veneering composite resins.

Commercially pure titanium (cpTi) was etched using three concentrated acids: 18% HCl, 43% H3PO4, and 48% H2SO4. The bond strengths between five types of veneering composite resin and eight cpTi treatments (involving combinations of sandblasting, acid etching in 48% H2SO4, and vacuum firing) were determined before and after 10,000 and 20,000 thermal cycles. There were no significant differences ...

CAD/CAM-titanium-ceramic single crowns with non-anatomic coping-design. A six-year follow-up study

Objectives Due to the increasing price of gold CAD/CAM titanium-ceramic restorations were developed to give alternative to the established metal-ceramic restorations with a high gold content. Despite the advantages of excellent biocompatibility, high corrosion resistance and appropriate strength titanium has made the casting process difficult caused by the high affinity of molten titanium to in...
